DOUBLEBOGIE CHALET

We do allow dogs, as we are dog owners ourselves and understand the enjoyment and attachment we have to our four legged friends. However, dogs will be dogs, especially in strange places and we therefore have the following policies, that must be adhered to, in order that we can accommodate your canine friend:

✦Aggressive dogs of any breed are not welcome. If your dog shows behavior that is protective and unfriendly to strangers, please leave it home.

✦All pet vacations must be scheduled in advance and names must be registered when reservations are made. Please do not show up with pets that are not registered without advance confirmation.

✦Maximum number of pets is two. They must be house broken.

✦All pets incur a $25.00 per pet per night charge (50% of which will be donated to the Human Society or another animal rescue organization) and a $200.00 per pet security deposit is required. This deposit is refundable within one week of departure barring any property damage, and"accidents". Should your pet seriously damage an item of Doublebogie, you will be charged full replacement value.

✦Please confine pets to the main level only. This level has older, wood floors which makes clean-up easier and allows people with allergies to sleep in pet-free rooms. A baby gate to block access to the lower level is provided.

✦We find that dogs that bark frequently can be an annoyance to neighbours, so we ask that you use discretion in this area - please do not bring your pet if they are so inclined. If a dog barks continuously, and after one warning has not stopped, you and your pet will be asked to leave and there will be no refunds of rental.

✦All dogs must be treated with a flea medication prior to their arrival (e.g. Revolution). If the chalet becomes infested with fleas after your departure, you will be charged for fumigation.

✦Poop and scoop rules apply.

✦Dogs are not to run at large. Dogs are allowed off leash only if well behaved and owner is immediately present. At all other times they must be leashed. Leashes are provided off the front deck and off the kitchen door.

✦Do not leave your pet alone in the chalet unless the dog is crate trained. There is a crate available for your use.

✦Shedding pets cause a great deal of extra cleaning. If your pet sheds and is allowed on beds and furniture, please bring your own bedding and covers for furniture and  don’t use our extra linens for that purpose. Also, please be sure that pet hair is removed from the cottage prior to your departure or a pet charge will result. A  supplementary cleaning charge of at least $100 will be charged if there is evidence of dog hair or foot prints on the bedding or upholstery
